Yesterday both President Obama and his wife Michelle, spoke at the White House for Women’s International Day. The ceremony recognized women from all over the world for their numerous achievements. President Obama emphasized that women’s rights have come a long way, but we still have work to do.  He stated, “I didn’t run for president so that the dreams of our daughters could be deferred or denied.”

There were ceremonies all over the world, in honor of this day.
