The video for ‘Countdown’ premiered tonight on MTV; and although quite simple, it’s a fun video for a fun song. I love it! Beyonce ditches the blond hair throughout the video and opts for black hair, long and short and still fabulous; and of course we see more of the baby bump.

Beyonce, who recently announced her pregnancy at the MTV’s VMAs, turned 30 on yesterday. To celebrate she shared a romantic dinner in Italy with her hubby Jay-Z!

While some women dread hitting the big 3-0, Beyonce has openly admitted that she embraces becoming 30. “At 30 you know who you are..you just get it,” she said in a recent interview with CNN’s Piers Morgan.  I hope she’s right, I’ll be 30 in less than 2 years, and I sure hope i ‘get it’.

Full of plenty WTF moments, last night’s VMA’s highlight was Beyonce’s performance of Love on Top. Prior to her performance, photos surfaced of  her on the red carpet rubbing her stomach as if she were pregnant. The glowing singer confirmed what we already knew, when after her performance she opened her sequence blazer to reveal her pregnant belly.

Jay-Z stood, saluted, and smiled like an already proud father.

I’m the girl who doesn’t believe anything I hear until after I investigate for myself. So when twitter went crazy claiming Beyonce was pregnant, I had to find the photos to see with my own eyes. Sure enough, Beyonce is shown on the red carpet of the VMA’s holding her tummy like a pregnant woman would.

If Beyonce is pregnant, congratulations to her and Jay-Z. It will be so ironic because she always said she would have a baby at 30. The singer will be turning 30 next month. Only time will tell if the photos are a true indicator of the Carters’ bringing a baby into the world.

** In a stellar performance during the VMA’s, Beyonce confirmed her pregnancy by opening her blazer and displaying her baby bump at the end. Jay-Z stood and saluted, already looking like a proud father. This moment was definitely the highlight of the show!

With one of the most anticipated albums of the year, and to ‘hip-hop heads’ possibly the decade, Jay-Z and Kanye held a private listening event last night in New York. Of course Jay would bring out Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, Gayle King (Oprah’s b.f.f.), Jada Pinkett-Smith,  Tory Burch, and other who’s who in the music industry.

The album is scheduled for an  August 8th release date. Of course, everyone is raving about the song Otis that was released a few weeks ago. It’s still growing on me. Lyrically the song is on point, but what more would we expect from Jay and Kanye? Unfornutately the beat just doesn’t wow me. Still, can’t wait for ‘Watch The Throne’ to drop next week.

Even a busy girl has to take time to do what most of us love to do..shop! , Beyonce, who is currently touring in London,  was spotted out and about with her mom and bodyguard while shopping. Dressed in an orange romper, the singer was definitely eyeing a pair of orange pumps.  Orange is definitely a great color for the summer and she looks fab in it.

Carmelo and Lala celebrated their 1 year anniversary over the weekend. The new power couple admitted that they are inspired by couples like Jada and Will (as many of us are), Jay and Bey, and Alicia and Swizz Beatz. However, Carmelo was quick to point out that he wants to be them and have a an admirable relationship.

The couple sat down with the NY Post. Here’s what they had to say:

When asked about Will and Jada:
“I love Will Smith and Jada Pinkett! You see the love, and you can see the support, and they partner on things and produce together. But she has a life, and he has a life.”

When asked about couples that inspire them:
“Will and Jada have a tremendous relationships, Jay-Z and Beyonce have a tremendous relationship, Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys, they’re a couple we see that inspires us. But we want to be ourselves. We want people to say, ‘We want our relationship to be like Melo and LaLa.’”

When asked about Lala wanting to be more than a ‘basketball wife’:
“A lot of times with basketball players, their wives, and I’m not criticizing, but their life is just about the man, what time is he getting home, why hasn’t he called me? But I’m so much more than” that. I’m a mom, I’m an actress, I’m a producer. Like, out of all that, I don’t want to just be called a basketball wife. What I see in Will Smith and Jada Pinkett, is having your own, and I tell everyone that.”

When asked about creating a business partnership:
“I saw her wanting to go into movies and producing films and documentaries and reality shows, So I said instead of letting somebody else come on board and produce all this stuff, we have the capabilities and the relationships, we can create our own production company and bring everything through that.”

Today Beyonce released the video for her second single ‘Best Thing I Never Had’. The video features Beyonce in a scene where she acts out a wedding, complete with an outdoor ceremony and reception. She looks naturally beautiful as she has flashbacks of a past relationship and gets ready for her future husband. Cute concept.

Hard work, fearlessness, determination, and passion are the overlying theme of Beyonce’s ’4′ documentary. While the documentary was created to highlight the time leading up to Bey’s latest album, it serves as so much more to women like us. Why? Well, throughout the documentary I couldn’t contain my excitement of my future endeavors because I was so inspired by her words. With a sudden burst of energy and enthusiasm, I immediately wanted to begin working on the things I’m passionate about. Beyonce’s words throughout the documentary were so simple, but spoke volumes, as she constantly reminded us that she won’t accept a mediocre life and neither should we.

The girl is truly ‘bad’ and represents a modern, hip, type of feminist movement. Ladies, you really can rule your own world. Block out distractions and focus on your purpose and your passion.
